John C. Mellinger, M.D.

Dr. Mellinger has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology for more than 15 years. His research interests include ovarian cancer in women under 40 years of age. He holds many professional affiliations ,including a membership to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He completed his internship and residency at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh, Magee Womens Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree in chemistry.

Christine M. Gallis, M.D.

Dr. Gallis has been a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist for more than 15 years. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is involved in a variety of community initiatives including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and North Hills Mothers of Twins and Triplets.

Dr. Gallis completed her internship and residency at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh, Magee Womens Hospital. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and she graduated with high distinction from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry.

Christina M. LaBella, M.D.

Dr. LaBella has been a practicing OB/GYN for nearly 15 years. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. LaBella completed her post-graduate training at Magee Women's Hospital and earned her medical degree, cum laude, from State University of New York in Syracuse. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., magna cum laude, with degrees in biology and physics.

Larry P. McNulty, M.D.

Dr. McNulty has more than 20 years of experience practicing obstetrics and gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds many professional affiliations, including a membership to the American Medical Association and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

He completed his internship and residency at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh, Magee Womens Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, and he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va.

Karen A. Roperti, M.D.

Dr. Roperti has been practicing in the field of obstetrics and gynecology for 15 years. She is the president and chief executive officer of the Rejuvenate, Inc., Medical Spa. Dr. Roperti is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds many professional affiliations, including the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the American Academy of Anti-Aging.

Dr. Roperti completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh, Magee Womens Hospital. She earned her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy.

Andrew J. Sword, M.D.

Dr. Sword has more than eight years of experience in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. He currently serves as an assistant clinical professor for the Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine and adjunct clinical professor of Duquesne University's Physician Assistant Program. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Sword completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Magee Womens Hospital of UPMC and earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He also graduated from the University of Chicago with degrees in history, philosophy, and social studies of science and medicine.

Paul D. DiMaio, PA-C

Paul DiMaio received his certification as a physician assistant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. There, his responsibilities included in-hospital coverage of patients in labor and delivery, gynecology, ER and newborn nursery, and he also served as a physician liaison for attendings and patients.

DiMaio graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County’s Assistant to the Primary Care Physician program and received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Slippery Rock University. He is a member of multiple professional affiliations, including the American Academy of Physicians Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Joan M. Gregory, RN, MSN, CRNP, FACCE

Joan Gregory brings years of experience to Western Pennsylvania OB/GYN Associates, both as a nurse practitioner and as a nurse educator/clinical instructor. She is certified by the American Society for Psychoprophylaxis in Obstetrics as a Lamaze childbirth educator, and she is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Gregory earned her master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh as a Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health with a minor in nursing education, and she also graduated from Carlow College with a bachelor’s degree.
