Everything about this restaurant is fantastic.
The food is exquisite, the service incredible, and the ambiance phenomenal.

This is some of the best Italian food you will find in New York!

Get their bolognese, you won't regret it!

We went here a few weeks back and unfortunately it was not the best experience.

First the pro's: stylish restaurant nicely put together with a cheerful and lively atmosphere. The wine pour was generous and I found the bartenders to be outstanding.

Con's: The house wine was not the best quality, it tasted cheap. I get that it's house wine but this is a classy place and expected better.

The main courses were a big let down. I had the very pricey steak special in a Gorgonzola sauce while my wife had a chicken and vegetable dish.

Her chicken was dry and over cooked, she barely ate any of it.

I had asked for my steak for medium rare to rare and it came well done. The only saving grace was the Gorgonzola sauce which was very tasty, but for the price I paid for the steak I had expected it to be cooked properly. Seriously it was Peter Luger steak prices with Outback Steakhouse quality. I was so hungry I wolfed it down, but it a left me feeling less than satisfied.

My wife sent back her dish, there was no offer of anything else, although they did take off a glass of wine from our bill, which we didn't think was adequate, they should've taken off the dish.

The waiter was absent for most of our meal, which was another frustrating point.

I get that we went on a very busy Saturday night, but this is not a cheap place and food should be cooked right or not at all.

It was ok but it was so busy and they kept saying our table was being set up but we then waited for 35 minutes for an awkward cramped table. The food was tasty but not really a fan of the family style servings at all. The service was good so id probably go back and try it again on an off night since the wait was long even though we had called ahead.

Not sure how this Brooklyn girl ended up in Long Beach, but I did and I was hungry. I listened to a friend's recommendation and came to Mio Posto at around 7pm. The place was PACKED, with both large (and fancy! I think it was a communion party) parties as well as smaller groups. We didn't have reservations so we waited about 15 minutes for our table. No big deal. We had a friendly bartender helping us out. The wine was meh, so my suggestion is to maybe get a cocktail.

We were seated by our waiter who was very nice and knew the menu inside and out. My friend insisted that we order the house salad because "the dressing is bomb" but it was alright - just a creamy balsamic over mixed greens and cranberries. No lives were changed during the salad course.

For my main dish, I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and WHOA was the portion big. It was pan seared and served over a hefty portion of crisp green beans. The sauce was a brown gravy type with diced shrimp, and it was strangely sweet. Not necessarily my style, but I could tell the ingredients were fresh and the portion was MASSIVE (but for the dish better be massive, these rival NYC prices!). My friend ordered the Chicken Parm which looked good but I didn't get to try it.

This place reminds me of classic Italian-American, family-style restaurants that I'd find in Brooklyn or Staten Island, so there is something very charming about it to me, but the prices were a bit wild. Also, I'm not sure if I just ordered the wrong thing because my dish was fresh, but overly sweet.

I could see this being a great event space for family parties. I'd give this place a solid 3 stars.

I loved this restaurant when they were located in Oceanside and wish I could try their new location in Long Beach except I moved to Florida! Now the only time I can come is when I come home to visit! :-(. Can't wait to see you guys hope all is well

The shrimps were large and delicious. With that said this review is more about the private room and event I am currently attending. The service staff at this restaurant were extremely attentive to every person at the 50th birthday party for my daughter's godmother. I like the fact that the service staff kept making sure the tables were cleaned throughout the night. Shutout to the young man Michael, one of the service staff members he did a great job. Shutout to Sal the manager for making Ada's birthday one she'll remember forever.

I do have to say this space is large and can hold at least 80 people comfortably with a dance floor space, a dessert table, buffet setup, and a seating chart table. It is a wonderful space.

If I had to mention one main plus about my arriving at this restaurant for the celebration it would have to be not having to look for parking after that traffic filled ride from Queens, NY yay for valet parking. I recommend this space for a private event.

Only one negative would be the upkeep of the bathrooms throughout the night - NO BUENO. I do have to admit by the end of the night the bathrooms weren't as clean as it was when I first arrived, but I guess that's normal when you have a popular restaurant with heavy traffic. A+ to this establishment.

Best Italian restaurant in Long Beach hands down!  The staff is like one big family they always go above & beyond. The food is always homemade & so fresh they have the best chicken cutlets around & their dessert is so good ! Everything is amazing you will not be disappointed go look at their Instagram !!

Great family spot!! Very homey atmosphere and the food is delicious, home style Italian, you can only imagine how mugs the full portion dishes are.....mussels were fresh and tasty, steak was cooked to perfection, and the stuffed chicken roll up was mouth watering! Def will be going back for more!!

I've been going there for the past two years since moving to Long Beach, I went there Friday night with my wife at 7pm to eat at the bar went to sit down and the girls behind the bar said that is being saved so we went to the other side and began to sit down and they said the same thing so I left P O  and I will never ever return.  We went to Pearl in island park the bar and tables we very busy we had a drink and waited about 30 minutes for two seats at the bar so so worth it,the owners and the bartenders were so nice and the owner bought us each a drink.  They have our business for now on.

The service sucks and takes to to long the prices and parking prices are all terrible even the food and drinks and I love Italian food.

Great food and people. No need to go anywhere else.  Enjoy.   Great fun manager is great.  Thanks Mike for being you

I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. I am vegan and they went out of their way to prepare my food accordingly. Everything I ordered was really very good. The bread, pasta, salad, veggies all were fantastic. I was there with a large party and the waiters were outstanding! The downsides: parking is difficult and the music was very loud making it hard to have a conversation. I will definitely be back though!

Great Food Great Service Mike Franky Sal and Ceaser all great guys . The Shrimp Luciano , Spinach and pasta delicious

Not quite the excellent experience I was hoping for. I traveled out of my way to visit this known place in deep Long Beach on Christmas Eve. It wasnt a bad dinner, but it didnt blow me away as I was expecting. I hope to be back for a second try.

Pros:
Family style
Large portions for entrees
Excellent, fresh food
Attentive staff

Cons:
Not a convenient location (deep Long Beach)
Smallish portions on appetizers
Appetizers are very expensive
No table chiller offered for bottled wine
Paper printed menus on cheap colored paper

Excellent place all family style.  Great food and service.  Prices are great for the amount of food you get.  Highly recommend and my family I will go back!

Thank you sooooo much to the owner Frankie and Sal who took care of us the whole night!!
my daughter had her first Birthday here and everyone did an outstanding job! The accommodation was beyond what we expected. The food.. amazing .. the service, greaat!! There was really nothing i can say. The place was gorgeous how it was set up for the holidays, it matched my daughters winter wonderland theme.
One hella of a job!!

THANK YOU!!!!

Fantastic Italian! The food is phenomenal. Always pretty full so be aware. Lots of fun and a great bar scene. Wine list is great. Again- I go for the food!! Ambiance is very nice. Family style portions so bring your appetite. I've also been to a private event here and they have a big space to the side which is great. Best Italian in Long Beach by far.

I like mio posto for a nice local Italian spot. The food portions are family style and everything always tastes good. I recommend trying the veal parm and penne alla vodka. The martinis are also on point if you just want to go for drinks. I like this place because it's more of an upscale atmosphere with out the long travel to NYC. Def recommend if you're in Long Beach.

Great food, large portions but many of the entrees don't come with pasta so had to order ala carte. Chicken parm was very good. Normally we like chicken Francese but the Mio Posto version is very eggy compared to others. Very loud inside, decor is a mix of chandeliers & flat screen TVs.

I  sat at the bar.. figuring. There was a happy hour. When I asked.. that you are new in long beach .  Do you offer this..
The owner manager. Replied..As if I asked for a free meal!! He was abrupt and rude to me!!
I had the nerve to ask such a question   I definitely will not be back!
